A Chemically Induced Vaccine Strategy for Prostate Cancer

Another strategy in targeting tumor cells is to use a small molecule that induces immune response. In this paper they create a small molecule which binds specifically to prostate specific membrane antigen (PSMA) on prostate cancer cells coupled to DNP. Endogenous anti-DNP antibody recognizes the DNP motif and recruits NK cells or cytotoxic T cells for immune response leading to reduction in cell growth.
